Coaches and Staff

Coach Marc Adler is the founder of Amoney Sportz. Marc attended Montville High School and was a varsity basketball starter all four years. During this time he also led his AAU team to two straight AAU National appearances, playing against and with athletes such as Amare Stoudemire (Phoenix Suns), Louel Deng (Chicago Bulls) and JR Smith (Denver Nuggets). Marc participated in the Maccabi games in 2001 leading his team to the Gold Medal.Coach Marc played college basketball at SUNY Brockport. He was selected to the SUNYAC All Academic Team during his freshman year. Since graduating Summa Cum laude with a 3.8 gpa, Marc has done professional recruiting for semi pro teams and has worked with the University of Rhode Island Division 1 Girl's Basketball team. Currently Marc coaches AAU teams, runs clinics and camps for all age groups and conducts private lessons.. He has worked extensively with professional coaches and players. Coach Marc strives to take each and every player to the next level. Last season Coach Marc guided his 8th grade team to the AAU Nationals down in Disney! He has built a winning foundation with great coaches and great kids in the Amoney All Starz Family!

Coach Marc Gold is a multiple sport athlete, having played soccer, lacrosse, basketball, baseball, and football throughout his athletic career. Coach Gold, along with Coach Marc has played with various AAU programs such as, New Jersey Wildcats, Morris County Bulls and New York City Gauchos.  Coach Gold played varsity for three years at both backcourt positions.  He was elected captain his junior and senior years and was named to first and second team all conference respectfully both of those years.  Coach Gold is a teacher at Mapplewood middle school He has now picked up a whistle to become a coach.  Marc has coached multiple teams, including boys’ and girls’ teams, from the age ranges of third grade to ninth grade.  Coach Gold has been the Head coach of the Amoney All Starz 5th, 6th, grade teams over the last 3 years! He has a natural way with kids and motivates them to be the best player they can be! He has racked up numerous Tournament Championships in the Amoney Organization!

Coach Eric Powe: Coach Eric Powe’s  sports career began in  New Jersey attending  high school at Neumann Prep (3yrs in Wayne,NJ) and Paterson Catholic Regional  participating  in three sports at both schools.  Jersey City State and Ramapo College of NJ were the next institutions where Powe continued as a tri-athlete while earning a Psychology degree. Powe’s coaching repertoire includes Division II Assistant Men’s Coach at Mercy College, Junior College Women’s Head Coach at Sussex Community College, Randolph High School and a host of AAU programs. He prides himself on having the youngest group of 1000 pt scorers in north Jersey history not to mention the AMONEY team that won its league and three tournaments.  “Coaching is a 365-day a year job. I believe in mentoring and bonding with players and families. Transition through high school and collegiate years is a challenge. Being  a coach is important in providing support in identifying and managing needs of athletes. Coaching parents and players is a passion for me that I truly enjoy and have made a part of my life. “

Coach Frankie:  Was a standout player  for Immaculate Heart Academy (IHA) in Washington Twp. NJ.  At IHA  she was a four year varsity player and was known as one of the best players in the state.  Over her four years at IHA she led the  team to win the NNJIL League 4 times, Bergan county title 2 times, and the NJSIAA North Public A Sectional Championship 2 times.  At IHA she also received a number of awards including First-Team All-League. She played AAU in the spring and summer for six years.  She than received a full scholarship to play basketball at Dominican College in NY, where she played her college basketball! After graduating college her love of the game has brought her back to the basketball court this time as a coach and mentor to young girls.  She has been the AAU Coach for the Amoney All starz for the last 2 years and the girls love playing for her. Her fiery and strong personality brings out the best in all the girls! This past Fall 2010 season her 6th Grade Amoney All Starz team won the League Championship and two Tournaments! She is truly an amazing coach and mentor to all!

Coach Lorie Khalil: is a new coach to the Amoney All Starz staff and could not be more excited to her ! Coach Khalil is entering her sixth season as head coach of the Centenary women’s basketball program. In 2009-10, she guided the team to a 15-11 record. Khalil is a 2003 graduate of Moravian College, where she was a two-year member of the women’s basketball team. Prior to transferring to Moravian, Khalil originally attended Delaware Valley College where she also played two seasons for its women’s program. While at DVC, she was a participant on their 2000-01 ECAC Mid-Atlantic Region Championship team. Before her college basketball career, she was a very successful three-sport athlete at Catasauqua High School, in Catasauqua, Pa. Khalil has been coaching at various basketball camps for the past nine years, including the University of Connecticut, University of Maryland, Villanova University and WNBA New York Liberty camp.  Khalil was a Special Ability extra in the inspirational women’s basketball movie “Our Lady of Victory."  She has also been featured in Garden State Woman, the New Jersey based magazine which highlights educators and business woman of the state.

Coach Samantha Orsi: is a multiple sport athlete, having played soccer, softball, and basketball throughout her athletic career. She attended Montville Township High School and played at the varsity level throughout her time there. She was elected Captain of the soccer team her Senior year. Samantha graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Health and Physical Education and Adapted Physical Education. She is currently a middle school Health and Physical Education Teacher, with a range of experience from the elementary to high school level. She has coached both girls and boys in grades K-2 and has recently joined our association in coaching the 7th and 8th grade A$Money Girls Basketball Team. Samantha is also involved the birthday parties, where she always brings a smile to the children's faces, provides a safe, inviting, and fun environment. Having her added experience as a teacher, Samantha has brought in new ideas and strategies that have helped our program grow. She is a great asset to this program.

Coach Adam Katz: is a Morris Hills High School graduate and is very excited about being part of the AMoney Sportz program for the first time. Adam was a 2-year varsity captain, and 3 year starter on the Morris Hills basketball team as well as a 1-year captain of the varsity soccer team and 4 year starter. He was nominated to the 1st team All-County for two years for his basketball accomplishments along with receiving All-State recognition. He was also nominated to the 2nd All-State for soccer. He is a 1000 point scorer at Morris Hills and currently holds the scoring record. Adam is a junior at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison and is captain of the men’s basketball team. For his career he is averaging just under 15 points and 3 assists per game with a point total of 996. He is in his 3rd year of studying Finance and maintaining a 3.5 GPA. Adam has been a coach at the Morris Hills/Morris Knolls basketball camps over the past 4 years and runs and helps with many basketball clinics and camps. He has worked with many players doing private lessons and running practices for AAU teams when he is not playing. His knowledge of the game and his ability to teach is why so many players love playing for him!

Coach Omotayo Mebude Jr (Coach O) Has been coaching for multiple teams over the last six years. He has coached at the Maplewood 8th grade school team all the six years and two years with the South Mountain YMCA  AAU Basketball team winning many championships along the way. Coach O’s energy and enthusiasm rubs off on all of his players and takes their game to the next level. He has been involved in basketball his whole life playing basketball at multiple levels throughout his career. His ability to bond with the kids and teach them skills on and off the court separates him from so many coaches. He is a true winner and we could not be more excited to have join the Amoney All Starz family!

Coach Alex Katz: Is a recent graduate of FDU-Madison. She played both soccer and basketball for CCM's Titans and the Fairleigh Dickinson Devils. She was an Honorable Mention All American Soccer Player for CCM, as well as 2nd Team All conference in Basketball. As a captain she led the Lady Titans of CCM to a conference and regional championship for two consecutive years. At FDU she was the recipient of the Wade D. Watkins award for hard work and sportsmanship. She has been coaching basketball for three years for various levels of girl's teams. This year she was the Varsity-Assistant coach for the Morris Hills' Lady Knights basketball program. She has had the pleasure of coaching at a number of summer basketball camps such as CCM's summer girl's basketball camps, as well as Bill Nieman's summer basketball camps and coaching AAU teams of the summer. She is a role model to many young girls all around the state!

Coach Dana Osborne: has been involved in sports her entire life. Dana attended Montville High School and participated in basketball and softball for four years. Dana was the captain of both teams. She was voted to 1st Team All-State and1st Team All- Conference. She continued her athletic adventure at CCM playing both sports. After CCM, Dana attended Montclair State University were she majored and got her degree in Physical Education and Health while playing softball. She has since graduated college and is now coaching. Her coaching includes being the Assistant Varsity Girls Basketball coach at Newark Academy for 4 years and Assistant Varsity Softball Softball coach at Montville High School for 2 years. Her knowledge and love of the game is second to none! Her positive attitude, har work ethic, love of the game is contagious to all her players.

Coach Paul Pomykala (Coach P) played basketball, soccer and baseball throughout his career. He was voted to the Passaic/Clifton CYO league All-Star Team three years in a row. Coach Paul attended Clifton High School and was captain in basketball. Paul has since graduated from Montclair State University with Honors in Physical Education and Health. He is working as a teacher at the Dr. Lena Edwards Charter School in Jersey City. Paul coached CYO basketball for 5 years at St. Andrew’s in Clifton. Paul has also coached Girls and Boys Varsity Basketball and Volleyball at Passaic Collegiate High School. Coach Paul has attended Nike Basketball Clinics in upstate New York where he further enhanced his coaching knowledge by working with several college coaches such as Jim Boeheim, Mike Rice, Rick Majerus, and Don Meyer. He is excited to bring his passion, commitment, love of working with kids, and knowledge to the Amoney program.

Coach Neel Patel : Coach was a multiple sport athlete in Highschool. He played two years varsity basketball at Parsippany Hills High School, along with two years varsity baseball. Coach Neel has run and helped with numberous camps, clinics, and private and group basketball sessions with age groups ranging from elementary to the high school level. His love of the game and love for making kids reach their potential is what he is all about. He can’t wait to bring hid dedication and excitement of the game to the Amoney All Starz sidelines this season. He currently is working at St. Michaels Medical Children Center in Newark, NJ.

Coach Nick Ciresi: A native of Kings Park, NY, Coach Ciresi was a 5 year (8th-12th grade) Varsity Basketball player at Kings Park High School. He was named captain his junior and senior seasons, and eclipsed 1,000 career points during his senior year. He was a member of the Empire State Games Long Island region team that took the Silver medal at Binghamton University in the summer of 2004. Coach Ciresi went on to play 4 years of collegiate basketball at Union College in Schenectady, NY, where he was a senior captain. During his senior season at Union he led the Liberrty League conference in 3FG% and was 3rd in overall FG%. He graduated in June 2009 as a Political Science major, with a 3.23 cumulative GPA. Upon his graduation in June 2009, he returned to Union’s program as an assistant coach for two seasons. While there he assisted in all facets of the game, including recruiting, scouting, and individual player development. He currently the Assitant Mens Basketball coach at FDU University .Over the past 8 summers he has worked at LuHi Summer Programs basketball camp in Brookville, Long Island, where he helped mentor and coach players ages 10-17. Coach Ciresi brings with him a wide array of experience, having dealt with the game of basketball at a variety of levels. His passion for the game is a welcomed asset to the Amoney program.

Coach Dan Pritsker: was a multiple sports athletic growing up. He thrived on the basketball court as well the soccer field and on the baseball diamond. However Dan wanted to concentrate on basketball and was rewarded with all his hard work. Dan was a 3 year varsity player at Westfield High school. He was the all-time leader in 3 point shooting at 47 % behind the arc. He was voted too many All Star teams and numerous camps. Since graduating from York College of PA, Coach Dan has run numerous basketball clinic, camps, & private lessons. This past winter, Dan was selected and a paid coach for the 8thgrade Westfield travels boys basketball team and lead them to an impressive record of 20 wins and only 7 losses. His infectious energy, passion, competitiveness, knowledge of the game and love for the game are second to none. We could not be any more excited to welcome Dan to the AmoneySportz Family!

Coach Salvatore Poccia: attended Parsippany Hills High. At Parsippany Hills he was a multiple sport athlete playing both basketball and soccer. In his senior year, he was the captain of the basketball team. Along with playing basketball and soccer in high school he helped coach an intramural soccer team for the Parsippany Soccer Club in his sophomore and junior years. Since graduating he has picked up the whistle and become a full time coach! This past winter of 2011-2012 he coached the Parsippany PAL team. After that, he started his own successful AAU program called United Basketball having multiple teams. He was the owner and Head Coach of the program. Coach Marc has since recruited Coach Sal to become part of the Amoney Coaching team and now will be a main stay and coach with the Amoney program this Fall season! Coach Sal is a firm believer in working as a team and not individually. He preaches teamwork, hard work, and dedication. We are more than excite to have him become part of the Amoney Sportz Family!

Coach Tyrone Royster – Coach Tyrone was a three sport athlete in high school excelling at basketball becoming a two year captain of the varsity basketball team. In his junior and in his senior season he won the coaches award (co-mvp).He attended Caldwell College and William Paterson playing basketball at both schools. He  majored  in criminal justice and sociology. He played basketball for Mark Corino while attending Caldwell College which is a Division II basketball program. While playing there his team won their conference tournament. The team then traveled to Paris, France for a ten day pro-am exhibition trip, playing four games against pro competition.Coach Tyronne loves the game of basketball and is a Gym Rat.. He wants to mentor the kids he coaches by teaching them respect and hard work that way it will not only help them on the court but it will help them off the court.

Coach Mike Leipzig - was a standout player for the Morris County Bulls AAU Program(Nationally Ranked) and was the captain who led the Parsippany Hills High School basketball team to the Morris Country Championship Game. Coach Mike has participated in multiple adult leagues and has worked at various basketball camps such as Middle States Basketball Camp and Five Star Basketball Camp. Currently Coach Mike is a seventh grade mathematics teacher at Christopher Columbus Middle School in Clifton, New Jersey. In addition Coach Mike is currently a high school basketball coach at Parsippany High School. Coach Mike is an inspirational leader who loves coaching basketball and motivating kids to encourage them to be the best that they can be.

Coach Jackie Jacobsen - was a multi-sport athlete playing soccer, volleyball, track along with basketball as her first love. She played all four years Varsity in high school and became team captain her junior year for the Fair Lawn Cutters. She went on to play at Assumption College for 4 years and attained a degree in philosophy and psychology. She coached for A-Money as an assistant coach during the 2013 Spring Season. She has worked at numerious basketball camps, & trains players on and off the court! As a personal trainer her attention to detail and physical and mental performance will only be an asset to improve the players skill and mental endurance on and off the court. Basketball is much more than just a sport to her it is a passion which she shows through her love of the game.

Coach Mike Pearson - was a multi-sport athlete in high school. He attended St. Benedict's Prep high school which is one of the most prominent high school throughout the country. There he played varsity Basketball, Baseball, Lacrosse and also ran track while graduating with a 3.7 grade point average. After high school he received a full four year academic college scholarship. Coach Mike played division II basketball at Virginia Union University (VUU). He graduated with a bachelors degree in Business Management and a gpa of 3.8. Coach Mike has also worked as an assistant teacher where he gained the experience of working with students. Teaching the youth is one of the highlights of his life. He has also implemented a sports program at the school where he coached teams and implemented many of his beliefs . He believes in hard work and dedication and also striving for excellence. Coach Mike's love for the game drives his ability to coach and make everyone around him better on and off the court!
